Dennard(Guide)

Dennard Lee is a visually impaired Singaporean who embodies resilience, humility, and a peaceful outlook on life. With a positive spirit and a willingness to embrace new experiences, he continues to challenge himself through rock climbing, HYROX, travelling, and discovering the world around him.

Through his personal journey of adapting to visual impairment, Dennard has developed a unique perspective on courage, perseverance, and appreciating the simple joys in life. His love for travelling reflects his curiosity and openness to different places, people, and experiences, while his participation in sports demonstrates that challenges can be approached with determination and a positive mindset.

As a docent guide, Dennard brings these experiences and perspectives to his interactions with visitors. His personal story allows him to offer a meaningful perspective on visual impairment—not simply by sharing the challenges he faces, but by showing how one can continue to live an active, fulfilling, and purposeful life.

Visitors can learn from Dennard’s quiet strength, humility, and peaceful approach to life. Through his stories and experiences, he encourages visitors to look beyond perceived limitations, appreciate different perspectives, and approach challenges with greater courage, empathy, and understanding.

Dennard hopes that every interaction as a docent guide will leave visitors with more than just knowledge. He hopes to inspire them to embrace life’s possibilities, remain grateful for the journey, and find strength and peace in overcoming their own challenges.
