Brenda Khoo is a data protection professional and storyteller at heart. She has faced life’s curveballs with indomitable strength and unwavering courage, despite her mobility and hearing impairments due to cerebral palsy.

She combines hands-on experience as a data protection executive in a church with advisory work as a freelance Data Protection Officer, helping start-ups and organisations navigate complex data protection challenges with precision and determination.

A law graduate from Singapore Management University, Brenda channels her analytical skills into safeguarding personal data, although her advocacy goes beyond compliance. As a former journalist at Mothership and Rice Media, she has championed inclusivity for persons with disabilities, transforming stories of adversity into opportunities for awareness, empowerment, and change.

As a docent guide at Ludus Labs, Brenda brings curiosity, empathy, and resilience to every interaction, inspiring visitors to see challenges as opportunities for growth.

Outside work, she finds freedom and joy in music and photography, letting piano keys and her camera lens capture the world through her unique lens of creativity and courage.

Her life motto, “I’ve lived the impossible,” reflects not only her personal journey but her belief that no obstacle is insurmountable, and that limitations exist only to be challenged, reimagined, and overcome.
