Michael is a shining example of resilience, determination, and creativity. A stroke survivor who now uses a motorized wheelchair, he has never allowed his condition to define or limit him. Instead, he transformed adversity into strength, embracing the belief that “Disabled does not mean unable.”
With a keen eye for design, Michael picked up photo and video editing using built-in accessibility tools like Sticky Keys. His skill, precision, and artistic sensibility are evident in his work, which he continues to hone with passion and pride.
Michael’s story has inspired many—he has shared it with the media, spoken at events, and met dignitaries, always championing inclusion and empowerment. A natural people person, he connects with warmth and sincerity, making every guest feel welcomed and valued.
Beyond his creative pursuits, Michael is also an athlete. He plays power soccer with great enthusiasm and hopes to one day represent Singapore in the sport. As a befriender to stroke patients at hospitals, he gives back by encouraging others on their recovery journeys, offering hope through his lived experience.
As a docent guide, Michael brings all of this into his role—personability, storytelling, empathy, and an unshakable spirit. Touring with Michael is not only informative but deeply inspiring.
